How to Prepare

We believe that patients can get the most out of their dental care when they are well-prepared and well-educated. Properly preparing for your initial consultation will ensure that the appointment runs smoothly, all of your questions and concerns are addressed, and that there will be no unwelcome surprises. Before visiting us, there are several things you can do that will enable you to take full advantage of your time in our office. This includes:

  • Gather your health records and medical history information
  • Bring a list of all medications you are taking along to your appointment
  • Verify your insurance coverage
  • Prepare a list of questions to ask during your appointment
  • Consider the topics you would like to discuss with Drs. Davis and Wray, including your personal goals
  • Visit our New Patient Forms Page to access the necessary forms

What to Expect

Your first visit is an opportunity not only to receive superlative dental care, but to get to know Drs. Davis and Wray and the staff. We want our patients to view their dental care as an experience, not a simple exchange of services, and encourage you to ask questions, and feel at ease.

During your first dental appointment, Drs. Davis and Wray will take the time to discuss your specific oral health goals, as well as address any questions or concerns you may have regarding treatment. It is important to be honest and open about your questions and concerns in order to allow Drs. Davis and Wray to provide dental care that will suit your needs and wants. If you are experiencing a painful tooth, we will address that area first. Otherwise at your initial appointment we will complete a thorough comprehensive examination including an oral cancer screening, review of your medical & dental records and dental x-rays will be performed in order to facilitate treatment planning.

After this initial examination, appointments for a cleaning and consult will be made. Any additional treatment will be scheduled accordingly. Drs. Davis and Wray will discuss all of your treatment options and the costs involved, as well as the risks and benefits of each, so that you can make an informed decision regarding your health. By working together, you and Drs. Davis and Wray can create an effective, customized treatment plan that will help you obtain optimal oral health and a beautiful smile. We ask that you schedule your appointment at a time that is convenient for you, so we can devote ample time to your dental care.
